The Blinkist Podcast makes big ideas personal. Your host, Ben, pushes past the usual talking points with authors, thought leaders, innovators, experts, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to find out how today’s biggest ideas really impact your daily life. Whether they’re in self improvement, entrepreneurship, motivation, psychology, or leadership, we go after the ideas that can help you live a little better everyday. Our mission is to find the people with the personal stories, knowledge of trends, and recent research to deliver that wisdom. Our guests are masters of things like productivity and time management, and they’re interesting — but what makes them really special is that they have the drive and knowledge to make big changes, and they can show you how you can be your best, too. Expect new insights and ideas that make you think differently, change your life for the better, and motivate you to keep learning. Similar to podcasts like Optimal Living Daily, Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders, Growth Everywhere, Explain Things To Me, EOFire with John Lee Dumas, The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes and Tiny Leaps. Guests include David Allen, Vishen Lakhiani, Cal Newport, Jonah Berger, Arianna Huffington, David Burkus, David Epstein, and Pagan Kennedy.
Each Wednesday, Ari Meisel and Nick Sonnenberg of Less Doing discuss the most interesting links, apps, and technologies from across the web related to productivity hacks, wellness, biohacks, life tips, work advice, business advice and anything that can help you be more effective and efficient. The podcast consists of a discussion about the week's interesting news and links and then an interview with an expert. Expert guests include, Tim Ferriss, Joe Polish, Jordan Belfort, Seth Godin, David Allan, Dave Asprey, and many more. In 2006, Ari was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, an incurable disease of the digestive tract. Ari’s case was severe, and required over a dozen daily medications and several hospital visits. After reaching a personal low point in hospital, Ari decided he would do everything in his power to strengthen his weak body. Through a combination of yoga, nutrition, natural supplements and rigorous exercise he was able to fight back the symptoms of Crohn’s until he was finally able to suspend his medication. Eventually Ari was declared free of all traces of the ‘incurable’ disease, and competed in Ironman France in June of 2011. Ari has since spoken at seminars and at a regional TED Talk about his struggle against a seemingly insurmountable opponent. Through the process of data collection, self tracking, and analysis, Ari helped develop Less Doing. This was a way of dealing with the daily stresses of life by optimizing, automating, and outsourcing all of his tasks in life, health and business. In the Less Doing Podcast, Ari shares his experiences and what he has learned through his journey. Brought to you by Less Doing, LessDoing. See more at lessdoing.com
You can afford anything, but not everything. We make daily decisions about how to spend money, time, energy, focus and attention – and ultimately, our life. Every decision is a trade-off against another choice. But how deeply do we contemplate these choices? Are we settling for the default mode? Or are we ruthlessly optimizing around a deliberate life? Host Paula Pant interviews a diverse array of entrepreneurs, early retirees, millionaires, investors, artists, adventurers, scientists, psychologists, productivity experts, world travelers and regular people, exploring the tough work of living a truly excellent life.
